Today my To-Read novel is Exile by Anne Osterlund. Exile is the second in her Aurelia series. Aurelia is a YA fantasy…but one that doesn’t include magic. If you read her blog, you’ll find she’s quite passionate on that issue.
Aurelia was the crown princess, but she didn’t want to be one. In the first novel, somebody is determined to kill her and nobody knows who is behind it or why. Crown Princess Aurelia stands in the face of exile. Behind her are those who tried to kill her. In front of her are the entire kingdom and Robert--the friend she can't help but fall in love with. Aurelia may finally be living her dream...but danger isn't far behind when Aurelia and Robert are betrayed by the very guards assigned to protect her.
I must confess that I read Anne Osterlund’s blog and feel attached to her characters, novels, and plots. I’m not unbiased by any form of the word. So take that into consideration if you want to read this book.
I’ve read every single one of Osterlund’s novels and have loved them all. Her novel Academy 7 is also an incredible read. I read it over four-five months ago. It’s sci-fi, something that I’m typically not really interested in, but there are a few exceptions such as Academy 7.
Osterlund is an upcoming star that I’ll definitely keep my eye on. She has an entertaining blog, impeccable taste in books, and a great writing style. If you’re looking for entertainment, read her blog or her novels. If you’re looking for a good read, add her as a friend on goodreads. You won’t be disappointed.
This sounds sales pitchy and for that I apologize, but this truly is my opinion. Take it for what it’s worth. :)
