Teaser Tuesday (8)

Hey guys, sorry I missed Monday's memes...I came down with some type of flu-migraine thing and it is still killing me. So yeah apologies.

Anyway, this is my eighth week involved with Teaser Tuesday.

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly blogging meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anybody can play along. Just do the following:

Grab your current read. Open to a random page. Share two teaser sentences from somewhere on that page.

Be careful not to include spoilers. You don't want to give the book away or ruin the book for others.

Share author and title (and page number) so others can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teaser.

This week I'm going to hopefully finish reading Heartkeepers and Sudden Independents, two novels that I received for review; however, I haven't had a chance to start them yet, since this migraine made me get way behind schedule and it still hasn't subsided. :(

Anyway, for this weeks' Teaser Tuesday I'm going to talk about Paranormalcy by Kiersten White.

Here is the synopsis from goodreads.

Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.

But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.

So much for normal.

And now here is my Teaser. If only I stared long enough, hard enough, didn't think about anything else . . . and if I closed my eyes and didn't think, it would be even better and it would all work out . . .

"No!" I sat up, blinking to keep my eyes open.

I'm not very far into this book, but I'm already excited to read it.

What about you guys? Have you read Paranormalcy? If so, what did you think?

As always, feel free to leave your link to your Teaser Tuesday. I check out every link you guys leave.
