Waiting on Wednesday (3)

Yes, another Wednesday blogging meme that I'm now participating in. I'm trying to reach out and connect with other bloggers, because I love seeing what they are reading and what they are blogging about. So yes, here's my first Waiting on Wednesday post.

Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly post by Jill at Breaking the Spine to spotlight upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Well this week the book release that I am eagerly awaiting is:

The one That I want by Jennifer Echols. I usually don't get into the whole girl trying to steal her best friend's guy type novel, but I've heard such good things about this author and I love the cover...simply because I have a thing for trees.

Yes, you heard that right? I have a thing for trees, but who doesn't? :) Also, red striped dress, check.

Anyway, now that I've babbled. Here's the summary from goodreads:

Gemma can’t believe her luck when the star football player starts flirting with her. Max is totally swoon-worthy, and even gets her quirky sense of humor. So when he asks out her so-called best friend Addison, Gemma’s heartbroken.

Then Addison pressures Gemma to join the date with one of Max’s friends. But the more time they all spend together, the harder Gemma falls for Max. She can’t help thinking that Max likes her back—it’s just too bad he’s already dating Addison. How can Gemma get the guy she wants without going after her best friend’s boyfriend?

I'm really excited for this novel's release which is December 6, 2011. Yep, that's coming up soon.

I'm excited to give this author and this novel a shot.

What book are you guys anxiously awaiting for? Do you like Jennifer Echols?

Love,

Danica Page

P.S. As always feel free to leave your Waiting on Wednesday post below.

  1. I've never read J Echols, but I want to. It's funny she has the same maiden name as my mom only spelled different. Never heard the name before.

Anyway, her covers always look so cute. I want to try her books out.

  3. Kat C, I've never read her before either, but I'm excited to check her out in the near future. That is strange that she has your mom's maiden name.

Her covers do always look cute, I'll agree with you on that one.

    Thanks for commenting.

  10. Oh, this book puts me in a bad spot. I'm half on the side that says, NO! Always stay away from your bff's boyfriend no matter what, because that's just wrong! But then I have that other side saying, OH. But what if they're the ones who are really meant to be? Then what? So, you see.

I'm going to get all emotional reading this, I can already tell. But I love J Echols so...

(I have a thing for forest trees, too ♥)

  11. Rachel, thanks for stopping by and leaving your link. I will definitely check it out.

A.Knight, definitely agree with you. I'm going to have the same internal struggle as you while reading this. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has a thing for trees/forests. They are just so romantic in my mind. Not entirely sure why that is, but oh well. :)
