Waiting on Wednesday (6)

Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly post by Jill at Breaking the Spine to spotlight upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week is my sixth time involved in this meme, and I chose the novel Catching Jordan by Miranda Kenneally. This looks like your typical chick lit novel, but nonetheless I want to read it.

Catching Jordan is published tomorrow, December 1, 2011, by Sourcebooks Fire. This is also Miranda's debut novel. Miranda works and writes for the State Department in Washington D.C. That's a pretty impressive job, if you ask me.

And now here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though - she leads them as the captain and quarterback on her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys, and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university. But now there's a new guy in town who threatens her starring position on the team... and has her suddenly wishing to be seen as more than just a teammate.

I love novels about sports, because I used to be obsessed with sports. I also love novels in which girls excel in sports. This sounds like a novel I'd want to read. It sounds like a cute, lighthearted read, but I want to read it at least once.

What book are you guys anxiously awaiting for? Anybody else dying for this book to come out? As always feel free to leave your Waiting on Wednesday link below.
Love,
Danica Page

  1. Looks like a cute read but I'm not sure if I share the lead character's sentiment on wanting to be around jocks all the time. LOL Happy reading!
