W.W.W. Wednesdays (3)

W.W.W. Wednesdays is hosted by MizB.

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?
I'm currently reading  Beckoning Light by Alyssa Rose Ivy. I received this novel for review. I haven't got very far into this novel yet, but so far its pretty good.  It's a fantasy novel.

As Charlotte steps through the gate, she has a strong feeling that nothing will ever be the same again.

Moving back to South Carolina after three years away, Charlotte knows she's going to have to face people from her past and adjust to a new high school, but she's completely unprepared for what else waits for her in Charleston.

Drawn through an old garden gate, Charlotte discovers a hidden world where she meets Calvin, a boy to whom she is inexplicably attracted. As Charlotte is pulled deeper into this hidden world, it's up to her older brother Kevin to rescue her. No matter how hard Kevin tries, the rescue depends upon Charlotte fighting her intense feelings for Calvin while mastering a set of abilities that she has only just discovered she possesses.

What did you recently finish reading?
A little while ago a reader commented on my facebook page that they wanted me to read this book, so I bumped it up the top of my to-be-read list and well I finished it.

I'm not entirely sure what to think about this novel. I'm still processing to say the least. It had a great plot line and I liked the writing style. I just haven't formulated all of my opinions about this novel yet. Look for my review on this in the next couple of days.
For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.
She can't tell anybody about what she does they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can’t control.
Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant.

As you can tell not the most clean novel I've read for sure; however, this synopsis makes this book sound much worse than it is. I was slightly offended by some aspects of this novel, but it was a good read for the most part.

Have you read this? What do you think? Should I put Fade at the top of my to-read list?

What do you think you'll read next?
I think that I'm going to read Crossed. Yes, you heard that right. I'm hopefully buying this book...later today actually. Matched is still fresh on my mind and I'm really hoping Crossed is good. If Crossed is good, I'll continue liking the series. If it isn't then I'll be severely disappointed.

In search of a future that may not exist and faced with the decision of who to share it with, Cassia journeys to the Outer Provinces in pursuit of Ky - taken by the Society to his certain death - only to find that he has escaped, leaving a series of clues in his wake.

Cassia's quest leads her to question much of what she holds dear, even as she finds glimmers of a different life across the border. But as Cassia nears resolve and certainty about her future with Ky, an invitation for rebellion, an unexpected betrayal, and a surprise visit from Xander - who may hold the key to the uprising and, still, to Cassia's heart - change the game once again. Nothing is as expected on the edge of Society, where crosses and double crosses make the path more twisted than ever.

Doesn't that sound great? It doest to me and so I really hope I'm not disappointed.

I am also thinking of reading Bitter Blessings next, a) because I'm on a deadline for a review and b) because it's the next on my to-be-read list which seems to be growing three times as fast as it is shrinking? Anybody else have this problem?

This book is one that I'll probably try to tackle tomorrow and hopefully finish within the next few days.
Megan has the perfect life, but when her mother dies in an accident, everything spins out of control. With the rest of her family falling apart, Megan must confront her past to uncover the truths that will keep everyone together. Thought-provoking and heartfelt, this book shows that even in times of trial, you can often find blessings.

Sounds like it will be slightly depressing, but oh well.

That's all for this post.
