Blog Tour/Book Review: Promising Light by Emily Ann Ward

Hey reader before I get into my review, I just wanted to say how thrilled I am to be part of the blog tour for this novel. In case you haven't heard yet, I'm also hosting a character interview with the main character Grace and hosting a giveaway of this novel. Trust me when I say you don't want to miss out on reading this book. And now for the review.

Promising Light
(The Protectors, #1)
by Emily Ann Ward
Received for Review from author
Fantasy-Romance
Average Goodreads Rating: 4.75
e-Book

My Rating: 5 out of 5 stars.

My Overall Thoughts/Impression: I loved this book. I was hooked from the very beginning and even though I just finished this book I could easily go back and reread it. This is definitely a book that is high on my books to recommend list.

This is one of those books that if I wasn't reading it, I was waiting until I could start reading it again. I couldn't think of anything but finishing this book, and now my thoughts are centered on reading the sequel.

Grace was a character that I loved and Dar...I'm definitely pining over him. But that might be because I really love forbidden love. Forbidden love, check. Love Triangle, check. And enough action, intrigue, and romance to keep me hooked, check.

I actually loved/thought every character in this novel was very well-developed. Naturally, there were the characters you hated. But I thought all of the characters in this novel were masterfully crafted.

This book is extremely well-written and very compelling. The pacing of this novel is fantastic. Emily Ann Ward never ceases to amaze me with her excellent writing. Pick up something she's written, you won't be disappointed. Promising Light is easily in the top ten books I've read in the last few months, so in case I haven't already convinced you to read this book....READ THIS BOOK!

In Summary: A book that had me hooked from the beginning. A book that is compelling, beautiful, incredible, and one that I definitely recommend reading. And one that has left me pining for the sequel.

Warnings/Side-notes: This novel has a very mild sexual undertone. There are some sexual references, but I wasn't offended. Definitely one I recommend.

The Wrap-up: Definitely a book that I recommend. Trust me on this one, read this book. You won't regret it. Remember to enter the giveaway. Maybe you'll win it!

Love,
