Praise the Techno Geniuses

Dear Readers,

If you know me, then you know that in August I suffered from a techno crash that wiped out years of work. It's a long story, but let's just say three sources blew up at once and I hadn't emailed it to myself in awhile, so I lost everything.

Warning: Save things somewhere you can access them from anywhere. I know I will be. Flashdrives, and two computers didn't work for me.

Anyway, after months of hearing my flashdrive was dead, somebody fixed it sort of!

They retrieved the files off of it, and so today as of two seconds ago all of my work is no longer lost!!!!!!

I can't being to express how ecstatic I am about this. I had spent all summer working on my novel and it had just got to the point where I felt I could do my final round of editing. And now after thinking I had to start over, I'm back to that point.

I just thought I'd share my good news, so you could happy dance with me!

  1. That is fantastic! I know computers were meant to make life easier but they can really make things difficult when they break!

  2. Phwew! That must be such a great feeling, like finding your wallet when you thought it was lost x 1,000. I hope I am sensible enough to follow your advice, but I don't have much (pictures?) that would break my heart like that :(

  3. Vegan Ya Nerds, Thanks! I know computers do make life easier, but they can also make things so hard. Great point.

@Fred LeBaron, It was a great feeling. Yeah, probably just like finding your wallet. Losing pictures can definitely be heartbreaking.
