Waiting on Wednesday (11) and W.W.W. Wednesday (10)

Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly post by Jill at Breaking the Spine to spotlight upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week is my eleventh time involved in this meme. This week I've chosen one adult  novel and one YA novel. The first novel is one that I'm really excited about.

Tatiana de Rosnay, acclaimed author of Sarah's Key, is back with The House I Loved. This novel will be published on Valentines Day of this year, which is in six days. I've had my eye on this one for a long time.
Here's the summary from Goodreads:

From the New York Times bestselling author of Sarah’s Keyand A Secret Kept comes an absorbing new novel about one woman’s resistance during an époque that shook Paris to its very core. Paris, France: 1860’s. Hundreds of houses are being razed, whole neighborhoods reduced to ashes. By order of Emperor Napoleon III, Baron Haussman has set into motion a series of large-scale renovations that will permanently alter the face of old Paris, moulding it into a “modern city.” The reforms will erase generations of history—but in the midst of the tumult, one woman will take a stand.

Rose Bazelet is determined to fight against the destruction of her family home until the very end; as others flee, she stakes her claim in the basement of the old house on rue Childebert, ignoring the sounds of change that come closer and closer each day. Attempting to overcome the loneliness of her daily life, she begins to write letters to Armand, her beloved late husband. And as she delves into the ritual of remembering, Rose is forced to come to terms with a secret that has been buried deep in her heart for thirty years. The House I Loved is both a poignant story of one woman’s indelible strength, and an ode to Paris, where houses harbor the joys and sorrows of their inhabitants, and secrets endure in the very walls...

Can you see why I'm pining for this one? It looks so so good.

The second book I'm pining for is Shooting Stars by Allison Rushby. This one is also one that I'e had my eyes on for awhile now. It looks like your typical cute read, but I always like those. This one comes out on February 28,2012.

Here's the summary from Goodreads:

Meet Josephine Foster, or Zo Jo as she’s called in the biz. The best pint-sized photographer of them all, Jo doesn’t mind doing what it takes to get that perfect shot, until she’s sent on an undercover assignment to shoot Ned Hartnett—teen superstar and the only celebrity who’s ever been kind to her—at an exclusive rehabilitation retreat in Boston. The money will be enough to pay for Jo’s dream: real photography classes, and maybe even quitting her paparazzi gig for good. Everyone wants to know what Ned’s in for. But Jo certainly doesn’t know what she’s in for: falling in love with Ned was never supposed to be part of her assignment.

It looks good and has definitely caught my interest. Those are my two books I'm desperately wanting to read.

What book are you guys anxiously awaiting for? Anybody else dying for these books to come out? As always feel free to leave your Waiting on Wednesday link below.

And now here's my W.W.W. Wednesday post. This meme is hosted by MizB of Should be Reading.

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What am I currently reading?

Loving Emily by Anne Pfeffer. I received this novel for review from the author. I'm about halfway through and so far I'm enjoying reading it. Basically it's about a kid who feels responsible for his friend's death and his struggle to overcome that guilt. It's good so far.

What did I recently finish reading?

In Dreams by J. Sterling. My review is posted here. This one was really good. Completely different from what I thought it would be like, but good nonetheless. Definitely recommended for people who love the idea of true love and soul-mates.

What do I think I'll read next?

Promising Light by Emily Ward. I'm involved with this book tour and will be featuring a ton of cool things on the blog as a part of that tour. My post will be up on Valentines. So look for it then. This book sounds really good.

Not too mention I love the cover. I love this writer and look forward to reading this one. I also received this one for review.

What are you currently reading? Please feel free to leave your link in the comments.

Love,
Danica Page
