Waiting on Wednesday (13) and W.W.W. Wednesday (12)

~Waiting On Wednesday 13~

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The point is to share a book that hasn't bee released yet, but one that you are dying to read.

This is my thirteenth time participating in this meme. This week I have once again chosen two young adult books.

This first book is Where it Began by Ann Redisch Stampler, which will be published on March 6, 2012. I've had my eye on this one for awhile. It looks really good.

Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

Sometimes the end is just the beginning.

Gabby lived under the radar until her makeover. Way under. But when she started her senior year as a blonder, better-dressed version of herself, she struck gold: Billy Nash believed she was a the flawless girl she was pretending to be. The next eight months with Billy were bliss...Until the night Gabby woke up on the ground next to the remains of his BMW without a single memory of how she got there.

And Billy's nowhere to be found.

All Gabby wants is to make everything perfect again. But getting her life back isn't difficult, it's impossible. Because nothing is the same, and Gabby's beginning to realize she's missed more than a few danger signs along the way.

It's time for Gabby to face the truth, even if it means everything changes.

Especially if it means everything changes.

The second one is The Girl in the Mask by Marie-Louise Jensen and will be published March 2012. I've had my eye on this book for a month or so. It looks intriguing, and so I figured I'd give it a go.

Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

Set in Georgian England, fifteen-year-old Sophia is trapped by the limitations of living in a man's world. Forced by her father to give up everything she loves, Sophia is ordered to make a new life in Bath. By day, she is trapped in the social whirl of balls and masquerades. By night, she secretly swaps her ball gowns for breeches, and turns to highway robbery to get her revenge . . . When one man begins to take a keen interest in her, Sophia must keep her distance, or risk unmasking her secret life.

And those are the books that I'm dying to read. But enough about me, what book did you guys pick? Please leave your link in the comments section. I love hearing from you guys.

~W.W.W. Wednesday (12)~

W.W.W. Wednesday is another weekly meme. This one is hosted by Miz B of Should Be Reading. To play along just answer three simple questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? And what do you think you'll read next?

This is my eleventh week participating in this meme.

What am I currently reading?

Alias Dragonfly by Jane Singer. I received this one for free on netgalley. It is set in the Civil War time and is about a Pinkerton agent (a spy). That right there was enough to get me hooked. Add that to the title, the first line of the synopsis that reads " 'Don't love a spy,' warns fifteen-year-old Pinkerton agent Maddie Bradford, a lonely, rebellious outsider with a mind on fire and a photographic memory," and the cover and I knew I had to read it. I'm only on page 15 or so, but so far it's good.

What did I recently finish reading?

I recently finished reading Macbeth by William Shakespeare which I absolutely adored. This was one of the Shakespearean plays I hadn't previously read and so I enjoyed reading it.

I also recently finished Love Unfinished by Darian Wilk. And I'll be giving away a copy of this book. I enjoyed it. Trust me you want to win. Enter the contest here!

What do I think I'll read next?

I have so many books on the to-read list that I'm feeling really overwhelmed, but I guess I'll be reading On Little Wings by Regina Sirois. I received this book for review. I really like this cover. I have high expectations for this one. So hopefully it lives up to them.

That's all for me. What about you guys? What are you reading? Please leave your link in the comments. I love hearing from you.

  1. Both of your WOW books are new to me but sound awesome! I wonder what the girl in the first book has to face when she says she should have seen the danger signs. The second book sounds interesting because she sneaks out for revenge pretending to be a man. I like that! LOL
