Waiting On Wednesday (21) and W.W.W Wednesday (19)

~Waiting On Wednesday (21)~

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The point is to share a book that hasn't bee released yet, but one that you are dying to read.

This is my twenty-first time participating in this meme. This week I have chosen two young adult novels.

The first one is Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry. This one will be published on July 31,2012 which just so happens to be Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling, and my sister's birthday. So this book has to be good. I'm actually getting this one as part of the DAC Tours and I can't wait to read it. It should be getting here soon. I can't wait.

Here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

"I won't tell anyone, Echo. I promise." Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. "You didn't do that-did you? It was done to you?" No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked.

So wrong for each other...and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

"An edgy romance that pulls you in and never lets go. I was hooked!"-Gena Showalter,  New York Times bestselling author of the Intertwined series.

This isn't normally my type of read, but it just sounds so good. I have to read it. I'll let you know what I think.

The second one is The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna  which comes out on 2012.  I feel like this one is pretty self-explanatory. I mean just look at the cover and read the synopsis. It sounds so good. I have to read this one.

Here's the synopsis:

Eva’s life is not her own. She is a creation, an abomination—an echo. Made by the Weavers as a copy of someone else, she is expected to replace a girl named Amarra, her “other”, if she ever died. Eva studies what Amarra does, what she eats, what it’s like to kiss her boyfriend, Ray. So when Amarra is killed in a car crash, Eva should be ready.

But fifteen years of studying never prepared her for this.

Now she must abandon everything she’s ever known—the guardians who raised her, the boy she’s forbidden to love—to move to India and convince the world that Amarra is still alive.

See what I mean? I get chills just reading the synopsis. I have to read this.

And those are the books that I'm dying to read. But enough about me, what book did you guys pick? Please leave your link in the comments section. I love hearing from you guys.

~W.W.W. Wednesday (19)~

W.W.W. Wednesday is another weekly meme. This one is hosted by Miz B of Should Be Reading. To play along just answer three simple questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? And what do you think you'll read next?

This is my nineteenth week participating in this meme. I forgot to do this last week, so there are a lot of novels in the what I just read pile.

What am I currently reading?

I've been doing a lot of rereading lately. But as for new books that I'm reading: Forensics and Fiction: Clever, Intriguing, and Downright Odd Questions from Crime Writers by D.P. Lyle, Meant to Be by Lauren Morrill, and When Copper Suns Fall by KaSonndra Leigh.

I have always had an odd fascination with forensics. It's creepy and yet it's one of those things I can't stop reading about. Morbid thing to love reading about, but it's just so fascinating. I love having books about forensics. Plus, I love writing romantic suspense...so since it was cheap on Amazon, I bought it.

Meant to Be (YA Realistic)-Look at the cover. It just draws me. I don't even know why, but it just does. I mean it talks about Shakespeare, a girl who decides a guy should be her crush, and yeah I have to read it.

When Copper Suns Fall (Paranormal Romance- I received this for review and it looks amazing. I've heard good things about it so far. I also love the cover on this one. Can't wait to get further into this one.

What did I recently finish reading?

I recently read Paradox by Patti Roberts, The Goddess Legacy by Aimee Carter, The Circle of Silence by Carol M. Tanzman, Persephone by Kaitlin Bevis, and Hope's Daughter by Melanie Cusick-Jones.

All of these books were amazing. Paradox, a paranormal romance novel, was unlike anything I've ever read and was way better than I was expecting. I can't wait to read the next one. This one is just so interesting. My review is here.

The Goddess Legacy-  I'm still not sure what to make of this series, but this one helped me understand the characters better. I can't wait to see what happens next. I loved getting to know all the characters better. My review is forthcoming.

The Circle of Silence (YA-realistic)- much better than I thought it would be. This book was actually really good and definitely suspenseful. If you like realistic young adult novels this is for you. My review is forthcoming.

Persephone- Also much better than I thought it would be. This is the sixth retelling of Persephone I've read lately and it was still amazing. I'm also the blog tour stop of the day on this one. My review is here. Definitely an intriguing read.

Hope's Daughter (Dystopian)- Definitely in my top ten of the year. This book was incredible. Young Adult Dystopian at its best. My review is here. Trust me and check this one out.

What do I think I'll read next?

I will hopefully be reading First Date by Krist McGee next week. I got this for review months ago and really need to get reading it. It looks hilarious and I love hilarious reads. This is also Christian romance...and sounds like a hoot.

I should also hopefully get to A Lady in the Making by Susan Page Davis soon. I've heard good things about this author and I can't wait to read something from her. It's a Christian historical romance that I can't wait to read.

That's all for me. What about you guys? What are you reading? Please leave your link in the comments. I love hearing from you.

Love,
Danica Page
