Waiting on Wednesday/WWW 25

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme that is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. The point is to share a book that hasn't been released yet, but one that you are dying to read. This is my thirtieth time participating in this meme.

And now for the books I'm waiting for.

The first one is  Taken by Dee Henderson. It comes out on April 28, 2015 and is being published by Bethany House Publishers.

The synopsis:

Abducted at the age of sixteen and coerced into assisting the Jacoby crime family, Shannon Bliss has finally found a way out. She desperately wants to resume some semblance of normal life, but she also knows she has some unfinished business to attend to. She has enough evidence to put her captors behind bars for a very long time.

When Shannon contacts private investigator and former cop Matthew Dane to help her navigate her reentry into society, she quickly discovers that gaining he

r freedom doesn’t mean her troubles are over. For one thing, her brother is the leading candidate in the race for Illinois governor, and news of her escape will create a media frenzy. For another, the ransom her family reportedly paid years earlier appears to have been a scam; no one knows what happened to the money. And then there’s the fact that Shannon’s escape involved faking her own death. If the Jacoby family learns she is still alive, they’ll stop at nothing to silence her.

If justice is to be done, and if Shannon’s life is ever to get on track again, Matthew will need to discover exactly what happened to her–even if it means stirring up a hornet’s nest of secrets.

Why I'm waiting? I love Dee Henderson. Her books are some of my most read books. I love a good old romantic suspense.

  What do you guys think?

Add it to your Goodreads shelf.

And that's one of the books  I'm dying to read. But enough about me, what book did you guys pick? Please leave your link in the comments section. I love hearing from you guys.

~W.W.W. Wednesday (24)~

W.W.W. Wednesday is another weekly meme. This one is hosted by Miz B of Should Be Reading. To play along just answer three simple questions: What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? And what do you think you'll read next?

This is my twenty-first week participating in this meme. I forgot to do this last week, so there are a lot of novels in the what I just read pile.

What am I currently reading?

I'm currently reading Emerald Green by Kerstin Geir. I loved the others in the series and so I'm very excited.

What did I recently finish reading?

Allegiant by Veronica Roth- Since I was in Italy and couldn't read for a year and a half I'm way behind meaning I just finished this one. It was really good. I actually thought the ending was quite profound. My review is here

What do I think I'll read next?

I have missed the last two years of reading. Please help me know. What were the good books of the last two years.

That's all for me. What about you guys? What are you reading? Please leave your link in the comments. I love hearing from you.

Love,

Danica Page

  9. Emerald Green and Taken look good! I haven't heard of either of them. I'll be adding those to my radar. Thanks for sharing! I think one of the recent books I've read that came out either this year or last is Looking For Alaska by John Green. It's a YA tradgedy/coming of age type story. I loved it.

  22. Oh, I love to read a good romantic suspense from time to time, and this one sure looks exciting! it's going to my TBR right away! Thanks for featuring it!!

As for good books in the last two years, have you heard of The Grisha Trilogy, by Leigh Bardugo? I've read the first book, "Shadow and Bone", and need to go on to the other two!!

Here's the link to Bardugo's Goodreads page:

There's another great fantasy series, the first book of which is titled "Falling Kingdoms". The author's name is Morgan Rhodes, and GR the link is below:

  24. I haven't heard of Dee Handerson before, but it does sound good. I hope you enjoy!
I'm happy you like Kerstin Gier's books, since she's one of the rather few German authors who get translated into English. =) If you haven't yet, check out her new Silver Trilogy, the first is titled "Dream a Little Dream".
And missing two years... you definitively have to read the Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi, and Maggie Stiefvater's new series The Raven Cycle, starting with The Raven Boys.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you find back into the community fast. Happy reading!!
