Before I get into my review, here's the synopsis from Goodreads:

In the vein of a Hallmark movie, this holiday novelette will warm your heart and put you in the Christmas spirit...

Now with 10 bonus awesome Murphy's Bakery recipes inside!

Wynn Murphy has been in love with Zane Anders since the day she laid eyes on him. But just when she begins to hope their casual relationship might turn into something more, a misunderstanding pushes her away.

At first sight, charming and handsome, ad executive, Zane Anders has been secretly infatuated with bake shop cutie, Wynn Murphy. This Christmas, he's determined to tell her.

Join Wynn and Zane in this delightful holiday novelette as Zane goes dashing through the snow in an effort to capture Wynn's heart.

My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

Disclaimers: I received an e-galley of this novel from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. I was not obligated to write a good review nor did I receive any compensation for writing this review.

An Overview of the Novel: Wynn has been in love with Zane for five years now. They even went on a date awhile back, but she completely messed it up. The friendship continued but she's always wanted more.

And now that's she single again, she has the chance to go for him, if she's only brave enough to do so.

Zane has liked Wynn too, but after their date she started dating somebody else and so he did too. But now that she's single again, he isn't about to let her get away again.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: A cute, cheesy story. In the blurb, it says to think Hallmark video, I think you could add ABC family Christmas stories into that synopsis and you'd get the perfect idea.

The whole story between Wynn and Zane was silly but still really cute. It's a quick read and for fans of romance, you can't go wrong with this one.

It's a clean romance without a lot of depth, but it's one that will warm your heart.

For 99 cents, you can't go wrong.

So why 3 stars? It was cute and I liked it, but it just didn't overly stand out to me.

Warnings/Side-notes: None, one sexual comment but it's hardly enough to make me not recommend the book to readers of any age.

The Wrap-up: A cute, cheesy novella with two surprisingly intriguing characters. A perfect holiday read.

Love,

Danica Page

  1. This one definitely looks like a cute cheesy novella like you said. I definitely don't mind cute romances when I'm in the mood for them. Thanks for sharing your review Danica! :)
